Schickedanz Builders South have been operating in Florida since 1980 delivering thousands of homes, buildable lots, assisted living communities, and construction of commercial space to the sunshine state. As land developers, Schickedanz has continually delivered buildable lots to nearly all of North America's largest home builders.

Humble Beginnings

Schickedanz Builders was founded in Toronto, Canada in 1951. Born from the sweat and determination of German born immigrants, Schickedanz started humbly with 4 brothers, a talent for masonry, and a deep belief in integrity and tradition. The company would steadily build on over the next five decades, creating custom homes and eventually other quality residential and commercial developments throughout Canada and North America.

In 1980, second generation brothers Waldemar and Gerhard Schickedanz expanded the family business into Florida and to this day remain managing partners of the family’s South Florida division.

Waldemar and Gerhard continue the long, solid family tradition, by offering financial stability, integrity, a lifetime of construction expertise, and uncommon value to their customers. They have built nearly 2000 homes, 200 rental apartment units, 5 assisted living communities, commercial buildings and developed an additional 2,100+ building lots for other national home builders.
